Welcome

Central Park East I is a small, public elementary school in East Harlem.  We have a proud history of progressive practices and traditions.  

Our whole school begins each week singing together as a group.  We believe in letting children take risks and having choices.  Our students go outside to play and to learn.  Hands-on learning happens every single day.  Families are well known, and crucial to our work.
